Home - Expunctions & Non-Disclosure Orders

A negative mark on your criminal record can be a major setback in a number of ways. It can keep you from getting a job, an apartment, a professional license or even a gun. The effects of even a minor criminal conviction can haunt you long after you have completed your debt to society.

At Daniel, Moore, Evans, Biggs, Decker, and Smid, our lawyers have a number of different methods that we can use to help you clear or seal your criminal history in Texas. We have helped several clients find the relief they need by using expunctions and nondisclosure orders. These are very complicated processes, and you need to have an attorney who has practical, hands-on experience with these matters.

Erasing A Charge With Expunction Or Expungements

We help people with expunctions (also known as expungements.) An expunction completely erases a charge from your record, allowing you to honestly and legally say that you were not charged with the crime. Expunctions are available for misdemeanor crimes if you were found not guilty or the charge was dismissed. They are available for felonies under some circumstances as well.

Having Your Record Sealed With A Nondisclosure Order

For people who have completed deferred adjudication probation, nondisclosure orders offer the opportunity to have their record sealed from public view. Unlike expunctions, nondisclosure orders do not completely erase criminal records, but leave them intact for government purposes.

Our attorneys have successfully handled numerous nondisclosure orders and expunctions for people throughout Texas. We will take care of all of the necessary legal details and work to help you clear your criminal record.
